As you are aware the G05 was introduced in 2018 as a 2019 so MY19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 equals the typical seven year lifecycle with the eight year usually being the introduction of the new model. Obviously, the exception of that rule would be the F15 that only had a lifecycle of five model years.


The S68 in the current X5/X7 M60 is new, introduced MY24, so I cannot see AG kicking it to the curb anytime in the near future. Just a guess.


That is ID7. ID8-on would be the screen slapped on top of the dash.

Yes, in the event MY25 is the final year for G05 I will get one this year, but right now don’t think that will be the case.

Z4 is 100% ID7. They are not planning to update that to ID8, similar to last gen Z4 that was only model to stay on older version of iDrive for entire model run.
