I'd expect that there's very little YOLO factor for the Taycan/Panamera/Cayenne/Macan.

I can confirm that for the Macan ... I've had an Macan S for the last couple of days and while it is a nice SUV there is no wow factor, maybe if it were a Turbo like Equ had there would be.

IIRC, Equ never really warmed up to that Macan Turbo either. In one of the Taycan reviews i watched recently, the reviewer had an interesting line. It was someting to the effect of "with the macan, panamera and cayenne you need to get the turbo version for them to feel special. With the 911, Cayman, boxster and taycan they feel special even in the base trim". Realize the taycan part of that is probably controversial but it was still a good point.

I didn't think the PDK 7-speed had a major advantage over a well-tuned ZF 8-speed in daily driving. E.g. the 8-speed worked perfectly in the Jeep diesel I had, I miss that machine more than the macan for sure. Better space and better daily powertrain (for me), but awful handling so I can't go there again. |

Headline is great—70 percent US take rate on manuals for the GT3. But it’s sad that the rate on the 911 overall is only 20-25 percent. |
