I was looking at pre-owned manual 911s on Porsche USA this morning and spotted this. 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe: https://finder.porsche.com/us/en-US/...reowned-KW6KKM

My wife and I agreed to go visit the two local dealers after the first of the year and find out what they require to get on the 992 waiting list, how ADMs are treated for cars that are 2 yrs out, whether we can get in line with the option to do one of the last .1 car orders or first .2 orders based on what changes are made and generally fact find. FC's post also got us thinking of Euro delivery or at least the ATL experience. If that goes well, I'll go get the car and prep it for real For Sale listing.

i saw that. Turns out it was owned by the Classic Car Club of Manhattan... meaning it was a membership car where it could be checked out and beaten on at the track or weekend excursions and put away hot and wet. The combination of that ownership and being an NYC car will surely hurt its value.

Love that Truffle interior. Very close to cocoa.

That is what killed my GT Silver (or white) over espresso. Espresso is to dark and not as rich as cocoa was.

Kinda looks like a Dakar I BMW that was left in the Arizona sun since 1995.

Also, why are all of the photos blurry?

wow- i used to be member there 7 years ago. Fun way to try out lots of different cars, but yeah, not sure i'd want to own any of their ex-fleet. Too bad because that looks like the perfect spec for you.

Met reserve and sold for $115k. Which seems to me to be both a steal for a manual 992 and a lot of money for a shared car from Manhattan.

I am guessing there is a 5% buyers fee tacked onto that as well? BaT and Cars & Bids both apply 5% so I cannot see why PCar Market wouldn’t.
