The 993 cab is not really a good performance car. It’s way too flexible. But it’s a neat sports car; it’s possible to have fun going a lot slower than the Boxster.

I think I’d get sick of living with it every day, and I certainly wouldn’t want to commute in it. But for occasional use? They literally don’t make anything like this anymore. It’s pretty cool.

There is beauty in having a car like that.

Every shift registers in your brain. You have to concentrate on that idiotic floor hinged clutch pedal. You feel the floaty front end through the steering wheel. And hear that raspy air cooled engine hum and buzz and sing as you hit the sweet spot around 5000 rpm’s.

The world kind of fades away and you just appreciate that you’re driving a piece of history.

It can be mostly amazing. Slightly tedious when your engine is threatening to overheat in traffic, but still you can just turn on the heat. LOL.
