Not sure..this article seems to imply that there will just be 1 hybrid model (and that it wont' be a plugin). I'm assuming it'll be instead of or alongside the "Turbo" model (possibly badged w/ their e-hybrid naming scheme).

It also seems within the realm of possibility that the rest of the lineup could also get some type of "mild hybrid" system (as pretty much everyone else is doing). Personally i wouldn't worry too much about that...doesn't really change the nature of a car other than (typically) making start/stop a little smoother and maybe providing a slight "torque fill" effect from a stand still. Typically, these systems are packaged within an automatic transmission so it very possible that manual cars would not get any sort of "mild hybrid"...

Given the recent news from the current M Boss that the G87 M2 will be the last full ICE, non-hybrid M car, one can only suspect that Porsche is headed in the same direction, even with their GT models.

No doubt. From the article:
"When asked whether the 911 GT models, such as the GT3, would receive hybridization in the future, Blume simply responded that we should expect "surprises" from the 911 down the line."

But I still think the impact on the 992.2 generation won't be too significant

Seems like any hybrid power train precludes a three pedal manual.

Which will make the 992s interesting in terms of scarcity.

Honda Insight was sold with a stick. Hybrid doesn’t preclude that. It’s just no one does it.

You’re so right! I forgot about that car.

Eh. Whatever it is, I hope they can figure it out.

I’d be in line for a 992 Carrera T with a true manual.

I like it! https://finder.porsche.com/us/en-US/...reowned-263WQZ

Lemming, your thoughts?

Edit: I located this C&D article from 2018. Tested: 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T Is Purist Perfection https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...eration-specs/

Edit 2: Nevermind… I called the dealer. Already sold.

At $103,150, it falls just $3000 shy of the Carrera S, which comes with 50 more horsepower, more than enough to offset the T's lighter curb weight.
Anyone know how the T compares with a comparable S on BAT?
