Give up now. You NEED that car. You really do.
One red/tan e30s: neighbors pay no attention, I have no issues.
Two red/tan e30s: neighbors believe I'm nutty, I could care less.
Three red/tan e30s: who cares what the neighbors think, it's plain stoopid.

Think of it this way:

1 M3 for the master
2 mini-M3s for the masters-in-training

There you go--- it sounds better already!

Come on now! Buy it before I start getting ideas!!

Congrats JST! Its nice to see another Imola ZHP with Alcantara. I dont understand why ever single ZHP at the dealership here has leather (7 total!).

As for the break in period and first few weeks, I wasnt terribly pleased with a lot of things. However, now that I have almost 12K miles in the last year the car is beginning to live up to all of my expectations. Make sure you let us know what you think after 2K, 5K, and 10K miles.

Definitely get a clutch stop. It doesn't fix the clutch, but it does make you notice it less.

I was just reading your old CTS-V review. What happened to "when it's time for the M3 to go back, the CTS-V is going to be the first car on my shopping list." And how about the Mustang? Was it cost, practicality that swayed your decision?

It was the first car on my shopping list. And I came very, very close to getting one. In the end, 2 things prevented me from doing so:

1) During a lengthy second test drive, I realized that I could not find a driving position that allowed me to shift without banging my knee on the steering wheel (thanks to the lack of a telescoping wheel). This is something that I overlooked during my first drive, in part because I was wearing different shoes, but I don't want to have to change my shoes to be able to drive my car, and I think it would get more irritating as time went on.

2) Money. The CTS-V is compelling, but expensive, and with the deals on the 330, it was lots cheaper.

it would be really interesting for you zhp owners to comment on a deeper level how you feel about the g35 6speed, if you've driven either the sedan or the coupe. i recently drove the coupe and really liked it. it is a nice GT.

the zhp is the most balanced bmw to come along in awhile and is likely the benchmark. i'm curious as to how close the infiniti people are in their benchmarking.

While I didn't drive it very enthusiastically, I did drive it like I would on the street 90%+ of the time. I want one. I want one really, really bad. Like Mustang bad.

There's something weird about serial car buyers when they buy three variations of the same car in a five year span (not that I haven't done the same in the past).

JST asked about the knee into the wheel problem on the CTS-V. I don't have the issue, but I adjusted stuff of I could see what he was talking about.

I have to say - if that happened to me in my preferred driving position, there is no way I would have bought the car. It's really irritating. But the seats go up and down and backwards and forwards and the wheel tilts - it's not a problem for me, fortunately.
