The Macan is also surprisingly good to drive for an SUV. Great transmission and reasonable dynamics and pep.

I did a double take, but there was a silver E38 convertible in a parking lot I dorve by yesterday... I wanted to turn around and check it out, but had passengers that weren't interested. I'm pretty sure it was still a 4 door unlike the picture.

Notable car sighting thread
Two different FB friends spotted this one nearby this afternoon and posted pics. These are their pics, not mine. It's badged a Turbo S. They apparently opted to delete good taste.

There's a guy here in Phoenix that did a chrome wrap on a Tesla, but removed it after a couple weeks -- but never saw it (only his posting at TMC. He previously had an orange wrap, and I saw him one day. Don't know what color he wrapped this time (and at ~$2k a pop, its still expensive (unless he owns a shop and does it himself -- then its just a couple hundred in material...).
------------- I didn't get any pics, but saw a few unusual things today. - A 3-series GE... Better looking than the 5 GT, but still kind of fugly. - A brand new X4 -- looks like a 7/8 scale X6 and just as strange (saw the guy as he pulled out of the dealership). Funny thing was that at a stoplight, he must have been pressing buttons trying to figure out what they did and his rear hatch opened and he had to get out and close it... - A McLaren 650S. Much more distinctive front than the original MP4-12C front end...

I can't help but feel like the Porsche is kind of cool, in the ultimately douchie Porsche kind of way.

Ha- I kind of see your point. People buy the turbo s so that they can say they have "the best one". So this guy just took that one step further to ensure everyone acknowledges his car. |
