I got the DME report and PPI today and all looks good (no overrevs at all in any of the thresholds).

I think my wife and I will drive out next friday to pick it up. I'm very nervously excited.

Looks like the car has 10,720 miles on it currently and the in service date was 4/27/2017 so 13 months of new car warranty left.
Beautiful car! Congratulations! Cool that you get to road trip it home

Congratulations! What's my prize for getting some of the hints?

I would recommend - if at all possible - fly out and drive back together. Having done it both ways, two car caravan (yes, safe option if something doesn't go well), I highly recommend throwing caution a bit and having a memorable first trip together - not in separate cars. Or rent a car to get there... (Not sure how far away it is).

Now this is going to be the car to keep over the next 10-20 years. You will love it.

If this were a coupe, I would be officially calling dibs... With a cab, well, I'll just say post it here as well if you ever let it go. Great color that GT Silver . It has a bit of brown in it and the Espresso will pull that out.

Well, truth be told, here is what Josh_PA wrote about 911's about four years ago:

I know i'm in the minority, but the only reason I even consider lusting after a 911 is all the hype this board gives it and the idea that owning a Porsche is supposed to be cool. That car is bleh to me.

That was before they added all the torques

The searching started in earnest last November with the car from BAT. I called that dealer last week trying to get in touch with the winning bidder but no luck.

And even up until Sunday when we made the final call on moving forward, we gave amv8s one last hard look. It is more emotionally appealing to me, just not smart.

Funny. Hanging out on this board has caused Porsche to seep into my subconcious as well.

I thought I was the first one to pick up on and acknowledge the hints...

Anyway, congrats Josh! This is so exciting. Is anything in the current fleet vulnerable?

You were the first to pick up the hint from the 10 yr thread

We will sell the z3 in mid-late April (maybe on BAT no reserve?). It's in storage in NY right now. The other 3 cars will be staying until there is a reason to replace any of them.
