Oh… I forgot to mention that my dealer received four 992s on Wednesday. The most they have ever received at one time has been five. Wednesday’s four were 3 Ts, including mine and a base Carrera. All four are sold orders. The other two Ts are going out of state, VA and NC. To-date that makes 8 Ts that my dealer has received. My SA that has been with this dealer for nearly 43 years stated when he picked me up to go retrieve the E39 at the dealership that he believes there will not be a 992.2 T. Hopefully that becomes a reality as that would work out amazingly for myself and other 992.1 T owners.

I saw them. GT Silver T, Black T and Black C2, bare bones arrived with mine.
The 8 Ts that they have received = Python Green, Shark Blue, White, Ice Grey Metallic, Carmine Red, Shark Blue, GT Silver, and Black. Last edited by SCA; 01-13-2024 at 02:43 PM. |

Just for perspective — our 996TTs had 400-415 hp.
The 992 standard engine is showing 420 at the crank on most dyno’s This car can gallop.

And then they dialed back the boost for the Carrera S. And for the Carrera and Carrera T, the engine uses smaller turbos. The drivetrain is the same. In fact, this 7 speed manual is likely the same used in the Sport Classic (3.8L Twin Turbo $500,000 911 SC). There’s obviously tons of springs and damping differences. As well as brakes, PASM, rear diff, etc. No one will say this, but to me? I think Porsche sandbags the T models and tweaks the tuning to give them more power within the letter of the law (variances). We also know they sandbag a ‘lot’ on the standard Carrera engine.

Many 992 T owners on RL that have owned NA 911s as well as the larger turbo’ed 992s like it for the fact the smaller turbo 992 feels more NA like as well as sounds like it as well. I don’t about that (sound). There are a few 992 T owners that moved from 992 GT3s and Turbos to the T for various reasons, but mostly ride quality and the actual usability around town as a DD.

Interestingly, I just got an email from my local dealer talking about how they have an incoming 911 available at MSRP. Its a base carrera optioned up to 147k so I'm not surprised. But, its the first time i've ever gotten a promotional email about a new 911. Also kinda weird/funny to get an email about a single incoming car that's still in transit.
