I can't believe you get over 30 mpg in that car

That is really amazing for such a high performance car !!

The s4 struggles to get us rated mpg's, perhaps mine is not broken in yet. Also trip computer is 6 to 8% optimistic on mpgs

On a side note...

The way VW did the speedo is not what I would like to have to look at every day.
The way they mix the numbers for MPH (showing both big and small) and KPH (small again - but in a grey tone - I think) is just too much stuffed into a limited space.

IMO anyway. I'm sure those that have to live with it get used to it, but... still.....
My thoughts anyway.

I agree, that's some pretty f-ed up design right there. Surprised that made it off the drawing "table."

Still not as confusing as my old '77 Corvette gauges.

The speedo was the normal speed numbering, decently legible.

But the tach was number x100 in stead of the usual x1000. This meant the big numbers on the tach were reading 10 20 30 40 50 etc, very similar to the speedometer. And both gauges were the same side behind the wheel.

Oh look, pictures from the interwebz . . .

I never had any confusion issues with the C3 gauges.
