Marisa is really interested in test driving the Mazda 3 with the turbo motor, but that car makes no sense to me at the price they are asking for it. My guess is in a year there will be bunches of them on dealer lots, heavily discounted.

I really really want VW to figure out how to make cars that are reliable beyond the warranty period but the GTI just ain't it.
The new 11th Gen (new for 2022) Civic looks a lot better than the current 10th Gen. In sedan form it’s got heavy VW and Audi design looks IMO

You're right, that looks pretty good! Will have to test drive one when we can find one with a stick

Yes, big improvement. I suspect my wife will still prefer the more subdued GTI styling, though. Also the Civic seems to slant back quite a bit, getting rid of a lot of usable height in the cargo area (this matters for dogs and bulky things).

Wow.. just looked it up they did a really nice job on the 2022 though I will say one of my favorite Civics is the one you have ... there is something just so cool looking about it.

Well, it looks like VW extended the holiday offers through March 1st. For 60 month loans, 0.9% on MY2021 and 0% on MY2020 GTI's.

I think that is good enough for me to pull the trigger at the end of February. I can put the Miata up for sale in March in time for the nice 2021 top-down season and we should still have plenty of production time to get the configuration we want.

Sounds like a good plan! EDIT: What's your color choice? And have you decided on fancy v. basic?
