Shark is such a great color. I will always have my 2nd doubts about that vs Carmine, but everyone who knows me tells me I picked the right color, and for what it's worth, more importantly that I picked the right long-term color for me.

I can tell you that if I ever get a chance to buy a used 992 GT3 I'd want it in Shark. I do think it's too much blue on a Carrera coupe. You need to break it up. A convertible or a GT3 with all the vents and black accents works best, IMO.

Given that you have a 991 carrera T and also higher powered 911s, has that been your experience so far? From what I recall, power is not so much your complaint as is the suspension setup is softer than you’d like.

As far as pricing, a similar specced S is still going to be another 10k or so. Maybe that’s not much when it comes to the world of 911s (and Porsches in general).but it all adds up..

I know we dismiss the Turbo here, but I found this review from EVO on the 992 Turbo S quite encouraging.

However much feel the car may have, it is saddled with a PDK and cartoonish performance that makes it ridiculous on the street. Still, good to know it has more character.

90% of the time I see a turbo S it’s a convertible driven by someone in their 80s. I assume it mostly gets bought by people who say “I want the best one”.

I think power is in the top 5, just not the top 3 for complaints.

I love the 991 styling. It speaks to me in a way that the 997 does. The 992 is more in the 996 category where i feel like someone lost the message.

Top complaints for a 991 Carrera T:
1. Springs are too soft
2. Shifter is just okay. Not fluid and rifle-bolt like a Miata. I prefer the 987 shifter actually
3. Without FAL, the front (cheapest) plastic spoiler scrapes on everything to the point of needing 2000 grit sandpaper to smoothen it out every weekend
4. Damping is meh
5. Power —the engine is for sure underrated. But it lacks some oomph and drama in 3rd gear on the highway.

I think the Turbo S is amazing. I’ve driven the 991.2 Turbo S extensively. Have now driven the 992 Turbo S. The 992 version is “m0Ar” everywhere. Like insane.

I think the Turbo S is an amazing car and I am leaning toward getting one again, to be honest. Could replace the Carrera T.

PDK is amazing. It’s boring as hell, but really good.
