Edit: As base as I can get with a 992 C2S and truthfully I do not love it as much as the other build above. https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PP5KEV61

Iirc he said that he’d choose the S if you plan to spec it up with a bunch of options but the T if you keep it simple. The lack of Bose kinda sucks but i suspect that’s a temporary supply chain related thing

Who knows… The Bose system has not been available on the 992 C2 for awhile either.

Spike Feresten and Johnny Lieberman both loved the T, but felt it could use more power as it left them craving for it.

Your 992 T build is still $132,000.

Holy cats.

the car to car advantage of the T versus the S in the 992 range is less clear to me. I mean LWBs is one —

But in the 991.2 range, the T has a shorter rear end (advantage) as well as some other Porsche pixie dust (PASM). It’s marginally defensible here.

Yeah, my build is 125, and that’s being as light on the options as I can be.

My GT3 build is within that range. I think it was $208k.

It may come across as more cost effective, since a loaded 992 Carrera S can be over $150,000. And I’ve seen GTS cars easily hit $180,000.

My GTS build. I did not scrimp on what I wanted either. https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PP9FVPB2

That's beautiful, but I don't get how it's 60% more car than a 718.

Looks like he added the 5k burmeister since the Bose is currently unavailable on the T. I can’t see ever paying that much for a car stereo. Id just wait for Bose to return or if I absolutely had to place an order now it would be the S because I think it’s still possible to get Bose (and the 4K extra I’d spend on Burmeister in the T would be halfway to the 8k delta with the S with Bose).

But i noticed that Bose has reappeared on the base taycan so maybe it’ll be back on the base carrera and T soon as well. (Honestly it should just be standard since halfway decent Audio should be a given in any 100k + daily driver)
