Taycan reveal
So... the Taycan reveal is tomorrow. Expect a lot of coverage...
A little birdie mentioned over the weekend that he’s driven it and it’s fantastic.

"0 to 60 miles per hour in three seconds or less"
I would hope so. Model 3's been clocked at 3.18 And that car looks huge! |

Just imagine what the range would be if it didn't weigh 5100 lbs.

Yeah they need to use smaller batteries so it won't weigh as much so the range will be way higher

Wow. Granted ,that's for the top trim versions, but I can't imagine the base version will end up being much less than 100k. I wasn't expecting 5100 pounds either. jeez.
First the i-pace, and now this make Tesla (both the 3 and the S) look pretty good as far as value for money. If they (really Elon) could just get their heads out of their b*tts, they'd have something really compelling. |

C&D mentioned 270-280, but perhaps with a longer (more efficient) high speed range.
This is the beginning of what I expect will be a multitude of performance EV offerings from several companies. In a few years, once the segment is mature, finances-permitting, I may be willing to move from the F80 in to a 3er-sized performance EV. |

So 1000 lbs heavier than a Model 3 performance, but less range?
What am I missing? Is it 1000 lbs of led weights? |
