No, but it won't be an issue in SC. No sales or service here.

There is one person near me that owns two. A model S for his wife, he has an X. He also has a charging station in front of the company he and his wife run. I have talked with him once, but didn't ask if he bought them in Charlotte or Atlanta

Maybe, I guess? I wouldn't want to be one of the first, but if they perform well over time, I could see myself trying it out.

I'd give that a less than 1% chance of happening. Typical Musk hype. And if it does, it will be something super constrained- like a trial for Tesla employees only that will shuttle them between 2 buildings in Nevada or something.

Edit time, Just saw my first model 3 in SC.

I have seen a few 3's up around Asheville NC, but all had NC plates

And maybe it is just because I am getting old, but I don't see driver-less vehicles working at all with our current infrastructure.

I have written a lot of machine programming, and in my mind it is a all or nothing deal. I have written many robot-human interfaces, and no matter how many safety interlocks I have written or worked with someone always manages to try to bypass one or two and someone gets hurt. (or at least, in trouble)

I don't know if 5G is the answer, but I feel that if EVERY vehicle was operating as driverless it would work, and it would solve a lot of traffic problems. But I don't want to live (or drive) in a world where there is a percentage of driver and driverless vehicles

I guess I'm a beta tester for this functionality required by this service.

I've been using Navigate on Autopilot for a few weeks now. Its only avail on freeways (starting on the on ramp, ending as you exit). Overall it works amazingly well. I am required to keep some pressure on the wheel -- its not hands free. But the car is making all decisions about which lane to be in and moves over in time to take an exit.

This morning, I was in stop-and-go traffic, and needed to get over one lane to exit -- and that lane was solid cars. It slowed down in my lane (with nobody ahead of me), signaled, and found its way into the first gap it found...

I'm sure it works amazingly well...right up to the point your car runs over someone or hits something.

Good thing humans never do either of those things.
