Ducktail might not be an issue... but meteor gray never looks that good (or light or purplish) in real life.

That's a good point - I agree these pictures somehow make the color pop.

Yeah, meteor gray is fine as a color but it’s not one I’d be searching for.

Any color (just about) will look good if the paint is in good shape and is recently waxed. The lighting can make it look glossy and nice.

Tough to be picky though...I agree it's not number one on my list, but if most of the other boxes were checked I'd settle for it as an inoffensive color.

It’s like a photo studio, those pictures are too perfect. I don’t know how anyone would buy a car based on those pics.

The dealers do that with their ads and I always ask for real life pictures and the car never looks as perfect as it did in those studio pictures. Also don’t tell me a car with 50k miles doesn’t have scratches or paint chips on it. Yes I see they mentioned the front bumper being repainted but you know the car must have other paint chips ...

One of my first questions to dealers is can you send me pictures of the imperfections, I know the car has them and I understand i’m buying used I just don’t want any surprises.

I think it might be at that awkward stage where it's not old enough to truly feel "classic", but it's old enough to have the foibles of any older used car. The one I drove was a pretty nice example with only about 60k IIRC. I do love the looks of them though.

Pretty sure the M5 I drove back in the day was the E34, the one thing I remember most was how heavy the clutch pedal was and at the time when I drove it, it was a fairly new car.
