Same feeling for a 911 turbo over here

When I eventually get my expensive golf cart I hope it can fully drive itself so I can set it and forget it at that point. “Alexa take me home”

Perfect. With all the driving assistance features the GC has, I am half way there.

Given that they are now slushie-only, I am nearly there. I do strongly recall feeling the 997TT was already fast enough so as to make anything faster just dumb and a waste of money.

But if I had silly amounts of money, I think I'd drop the cash on a new 911 Turbo before I do so on a super fast Tesla. It HAS to drive better. Plus I hate Tesla interiors and I hate what they have done to modern car interiors.

DCT gas engine is not equivalent to a 1 speed electric engine

Sure. And I am not saying the Tesla won’t be faster off the line. Maybe. But the Turbo is likely to be a more fun overall, IMO.

I can’t believe this is an actual discussion… a Tesla versus a 911 turbo.

Probably one of the dumbest comparisons I ever read.

I posted that comment as kind of an off-the-cuff joke but it's based in a sliver of reality. My buddy's 991 turbo just left me completely cold. The factory damper tuning is so bad the car just wiggled through corners, never feeling comfortable. It was indeed brutally fast in a straight line but completely unusable on the street. And it's DCT-only, which is a major strike against it for me.

I think for a car like that (and "by that" I mean a comfortable, soft, brutally fast cruiser), yeah, I'd rather have a Tesla. Give me a GT3 with a manual gearbox and a naturally aspirated engine. Or better yet, a Cayman GT4 RS

I think my response looking back on it was a bit too harsh but alway appreciate your opinion on driving, I’ve watched your videos and man you’ve got some great driving skills.

Yeah. I get that perspective. Which is why I’m getting one of each.
