NJ BMW CCA autocross

Here you go plaz. Start memorizing now: http://www.njbmwcca.org/util/get_file.php?file_id=50

This is just like a national tour course, except that it's different in every way possible.

I'll probably bring the E30 though. :P Honestly, the NJ courses are painful in an E46 because they're so tight. The lot doesn't allow for a wide open course. It's still fun (sorta) but it's mostly an exercise in understeering. It's not nearly as fun as a wide open course where you're going fast enough that you're scaring yourself a bit.

Doh! That's a disturbing pic.

It will be interesting to see how much my E46 plows under duress like this... I have my sways set to full stiff front and back -- a condition which has always felt pretty neutral to me, but that you've claimed is way too tail-happy.

A really low speed course probably wants less sway and more camber.

In my case, being my 1st AutoX, it'll be more a case of needing less car and more driver. ops:

At higher speeds it was super tail happy. At NJ it may be OK.

Your first autocross? Here's an abbreviated checklist to go through before each run.

1. DSC Off
2. Look Ahead
3. Don't Fcuk Up
