I missed that. Thanks.

True but I still think the seller was surprised at the final price

I really want this, even though I have no plausible use case for a RHD hot hatch from the 80s with no AC.

I also really appreciate the build quality on this one:

And the 944 S2 styling has aged really, really well.

May I extol the virtues of driveway decoration?

The S2 is basically the 944 Turbo look without the turbo (but with a problematic chain pensioner IIRC), right?

I've always been fond of the 944 and the Turbo was on my "must own one someday" list for a long, long time until it wasn't.

You can see its DNA in the Panamera...

Edit: And wow, up to $20k already for a ZHP with more than 100k miles. And still two more days to go...

SAME! I have some bizarre attraction to the 88 turbo S or 89 turbo(turbo s without the s name) that I cant explain. That cars shape is timeless.

Well.

It's not really a ZHP anymore. It's really a 4 door M3 built (apparently) to a pretty high standard. So it's something of a unicorn.

That's what I get for skimming!

Or, more accurately, glancing...

Me too, it was one of those cars that was aspirational when I was young. I thought it was the coolest Porsche of its time.

My parents shopped for one multiple times and broke my heart when they bought Subaru XTs instead. I distinctly remember getting dropped off at school in 8th grade in the XT the week after I told all my friends we were getting a 944. Talk about giving all your 14yr old frenemies something to tease you over.
