Some pics from Lime Rock

I met up today with equ and some bimmerfest members for a meet and greet at the historic track.

We were served lunch, took a few parade laps and watched the BMW Patroon chapter and Club At Lime Rock folks do their thing.

This guy definitely had a bad day ..... his GT40 stuffed into the tire wall, early.

Equ's Porsche - now that I've driven it, I like....... a lot!

A couple for Plaz

....and Stuka

This guy backed into the wall .....note the duct tape on the left rear

What's this guy doing there

Overlooking the paddock

Lined up for parade laps ...

..approaching the back uphill

.... the diving turn before the main straight

Ed

If he is, he's citing himself

That's ok, I think if I lived two plus hours away and spent a week commuting in and out of NYC by car, I'd think twice about making the trip.

It was fun though, I got behind a Clubman on the way up, the first I'd seen - we cat and moused our way up route 7 - I saw he had a radar detector, I relied on it :0

I'll keep you up to date on any other interesting LRP events - there's usually a Mini race, an ALMS event, a bunch of SCCA races and I highly recommend the vintage 'fest in September (I usually get tickets through the BMWCCA).

Maybe some of these bums like FC, Lemming etc, from the region will show their mugs

It was a nice opportunity for me to see Lime Rock for the first time and watch the bmwcca/pca people. To top it off, spring is in full bloom so the scenery was wonderful.

Beautiful pics, Ed, and I'll be posting some hopefully tonight.
