Enthusiast Auto Offers Something Unique
http://bringatrailer.com/2014/02/15/...t-rs-cosworth/
The price tag is as ridiculous as you'd expect given the seller, but man, what an interesting car. |

I think they might be a little ahead of the bubble on that car.

The engine is turned in the wrong direction. Err, well, actually the right direction!

gotta love some of the comments, including the picture of the other expensive Ford.
Wonder how much EA paid for it

Holy crap, that's a LOT of money for that car. Even by Enthusiast Auto standards. Even if it is pretty cool, and even if it's in a great color.

Would you rather drive this car than an F355?
Ah, no. Next? |

I wouldn't pay 55K for this, but then I wouldn't pay 55K for an F355, either. Putting the money aside, if you asked which I'd rather have, it's kind of a tough question. I've never driven an F355 (or any Ferrari, come to think of it), and of course I would like to--but the "douchebag" vibe you get driving even a dentist's Porsche is palpable, and I can barely imagine what that would be like driving a Ferrari.
This thing, OTOH...I mean, 50 percent of people wouldn't even notice you, 48 percent would think you were just a fuckstick who had an old Escort and liked to shop at PepBoys, but the 2 percent who knew what it was? I think those are people I'd probably enjoying talking to, unlike the people that would likely approach you if you were driving an F355 and ask you about your sweet Fiero and/or Testarossa. I suspect, performance-wise, that both the F355 and the Escort Cossie would be a bit of a let-down, judged by modern standards. |

But at least in a Ferrari you could be aurally pleased.
The dashboard stroking would be way better, too. |

I would LOVE a F355 and a glass window into my garage, but for my $50k this is much more likely:
You can put around talking to cognoscenti in your Escort all you want. |
