Cognac looks a bit darker, and maybe easier to care for? Our Z3 and 325xiT were also light beige. And, yes, that was tough.

I’m thinking that if this car is a keeper, also by virtue of not being the super-sporty Spyder I should just go for the elegant, classy spec and go with Espresso and pick a good exterior. White, silver, or aventurine could do.
I liked my cocoa on white 987 as you all know. |

I have come to really like white cars. I like the way white Boxsters and Caymans look. Marisa says "no."
I think I'd have to see aventurine in person. I vaguely remember having a couch that was roughly that same color growing up in the early 80's. |

And that couch may spell aversion more than aventurine! |

I really like aventurine but I think it's a better 911 color and too subdued for a Boxster. It's likely between silver or white for me, and I'd probably go with white because of the sharper contrasts with dark accents. It's a "summer" car after all.

Maybe it looks better in person, but all the pictures I can find of aventurine make it look like metallic overripe avocado. I mean it's better than the brown-gray they have as an option and it's (maybe?) better than frozen berry.
Granted I have owned two yellow Boxsters and a yellow E36 so perhaps my judgement is suspect |

cue JV's "that's horrible" comments... but...
FC, the white/cognac combo looks great IMO. That was the spec of the 991 I came close to buying on BAT. In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't win this one, as the idea of the wood interior and blue top haven't aged well for me. You might want to consider a brown top, as that would probably further coordinate the colors. Here's the auction link w/ all the pics: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...a-4-cabriolet/

That white 911 is nice enough but I'm curious about the decision to order a blue top. It's...weird. But not as weird as this one from Twitter the other day: https://twitter.com/RwlSociety/statu...xe7pI7jP3HHjWw |

I don’t find the blue top odd. White/tan/blue or white/grey/blue was actually a fairly common spec when I ordered 3-series convertibles for inventory back in the day and I remember they sold well.

I always liked your cocoa on white 987 too. That was a sharp Boxster! |
