I am not a Corvette guy, at all, but this is a pretty special C3 and the comments have a lot of interesting info:

Also the driving video is pretty fun.

No fake pops or burbles here. Skip to 3:50 to see the driving.

That's pretty close to the holy grail of Corvette collecting right there.

Yeah, I wonder if there's anything rarer than that in the Corvette world?

That video is awesome b/c you can tell he's trying to avoid wheelspin in the first couple of gears.

Well, yes. The 1967 L88 convertible would be the rarest of rare and holiest of grails. 1967 was the last year of the C2 bodystyle and there were 20 L88 produced. 1968, first year of the C3 saw 80 builds and 1969, 116 cars. A majority of production each year were coupes, but some were convertibles. Coupe/convertible breakdown production numbers are not reliable, so the relative rarity is tough to quantify.

Well, the '69 ZL1 is rarer still than the '67 L88.

Huh, yeah, guess so.

However, records from the Tonawanda engine plant indicate that 94 ZL1 engines with Corvette prefixes were built in 1969. Of these, 80 were coded for use with manual transmission and 14 for use with automatics. Corvette historians acknowledge that the majority of these engines were sold to racers, though a few of them were sold to private parties.
