New Tires
Hey all,
I have been looking to replace the worn PS2's on the M5 and I can’t believe how much they cost. Other then tire rack does anyone know of any cheaper outlets? If not can anyone recommend a similar performing tire? I don’t need all seasons because of the moderate weather we have. Thanks in advance for the help.

PS2s are the ultimate compromise between comfort and handling. As long as you don't track the car (where the tires will literally fall apart), you'll be disappointed by the alternatives.

I had ES100's on the E36 and I agree with your points but not sure I want to go that cheap this time. I'll need to check the price on the SO3's. Thanks

I had Goodyear GS-D3s on my old 330i. Loved those. I'm not sure what the go for today.

I may still break down and get them. Just having sticker shock. As for tracking a 4000 pound M5, whats the point.

Hmmm I don't remember seeing those. I'll have to check the reviews in tirerack. Thanks!

It's a caveat I mention because people seem to think that tracking PS2s on any car is a good idea. And then whine about burning off the shoulder in a couple days.

I just get whatever Nick recommends. I replaced my first set of PS2 rears last year, and am ordering new PS2 fronts to be mounted this spring. I like them.

Well I never said I did not like them, I actually really do. But the high 3's for ONE rear tire. Good God!
