I think I’d rather own the 993, but the 930 is a better style to my sense of aesthetics, despite the enormous spoiler.

I actually think the 993 turbo is my favorite looking 911 of all time. Just some about the curves and angles.

speaking from experience, any non-Turbo 993 is a total dog. I know that aesthetically they are very appealing, but they're called lead sleds for a reason.
the long hood 911s and even the 964s have a lot more pop because they're lighter cars. car for car, i'd always opt for a late 80s 911 (pre 964) and save the original engine in a crate and then put a 3.8L M64 in the car, rather than get that engine in a 993 chassis.

I never thought that until I test drove a standard 1996+ 993 C2 coupe just before buying my boxster last spring. It was much slower than I expected. A 2013 boxster base (2.7 with not much torque) wiped the floor with it in every dynamic aspect.
