Thanks Alan. I added the Vin Analytics Chrome button so I can link straight to the report from any Porsche sale page.

It has been super helpful weeding the manual classified PDK cars from the real manuals.

In any case, I don't think I'll be needing the VA Chrome Extension any more.

OK, so hear me out: inspired by the "cheap car" to hold for ten years thread, what about this as a daily driver?

If price ends as reasonable, why not?

I would find it hard going from a 987S, even .1, to any non-turbo 996.

Looks very clean. I'd worry a bit that "there's no such thing as a cheap Porsche". Seems like it'd be a candidate for IMS trouble, no?

I dropped some hints a couple days ago, but it looks like I am officially purchasing the GT Silver / Espresso one from Akron. We agreed on a price that I am pretty happy with on Monday, and I placed a deposit contingent on PPI and DME report. I got the DME report and PPI today and all looks good (no overrevs at all in any of the thresholds).

I think my wife and I will drive out next friday to pick it up. I'm very nervously excited.

Looks like the car has 10,720 miles on it currently and the in service date was 4/27/2017 so 13 months of new car warranty left.
