First evAr G8

Not much exciting in this story, except that perhaps the hp of the G8 GT is being upped from 362 to 391. Or maybe that's a typo.

Hrmph. Can't say it looks great, but it still piques my interest.

What's interesting is the Chevy and Buick versions in the background...

Apparently, the Buick is China-only as the US dealers rejected the car.

I'm guessing the Chevy is for the Mid-East markets. When I was in Dubai about 18 months ago, there was a Holden Commodore-based Chevy Impala on the roads there.

Yes, I think you are right. The USDM Zeta Impala is still a couple of years out, and will look (according to the sketches) a lot more like the 08 Malibu than the car in the background of those pics.

TDM3, IIRC launch for the G8 is Novemberish, with manual transmission cars coming in early 08.

Cool thanks. A test drive will certainly be in order.

Hopefully this will be better received than the GTO was. The looks are worlds better, taughter, and not as floppy looking as the GTO. And I have hopes for its handling characteristics, too.
