It’s not intuitive but the GT3 is so much easier to drive than any other car because of the integration between inputs and outputs. Everything feels linear and well engineered.

The transmission is not notchy like the 7sp manual and obviously the throttle is linear.

Other than low front clearance, I’ve no issues driving the GT3 most places.

Stop by Porsche yesterday to visit with a friend that is a Porsche tech and then went and checked in with my sales rep. I received some unexpected good news. I very well may have the next allocation for a 992 T. He seems to think that the next gentleman in line might not follow through which would default to me and obviously even if he does I will be next. We’ll see…

No clue how I moved up so quickly, but clearly I am not complaining. This might be a blessing in disguise given that I recently gave my brother my number one allocation for the G87 M2.

My current T build. https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PRNUYU92

Here’s the thing.

You won’t regret it.

And even if you do, you won’t lose on the transaction. Because someone/most of us want that car anyway.

I’m happy you got an allocation open up. The factory has been doing their damndest to open up slots. Clearly you and me benefit from it.

Thoughts on my current build above? This build is approx $2k less than the build entered into the “order demand” yesterday.

If you get this allocation soon would you be trading/selling your 997 and what about the M2?

With the 997 being the last fully analog 911 I will be keeping my .2 indefinitely. I would forgo the G87. Truth be told, I had already moved to being on the fence about it. I believe I have approached the end of the rope with BMW and with local BMW service being absolutely shitty I am beyond over dealing with it.
