No helping… I did all the work. He sat his ass indoors in the A/C. Truthfully I have no desire to drive it. I pulled it out of his garage and put it back in when I finished. The clutch is super light, the shifter feels typical BMW, and the brakes are grabby/sensitive. That is as good as it will get in this thread.

Edit: Let us also not forget that I gave him my allocation too, “Helped” An older brother of the year award is due.

I spent 4.5 hours preforming a post-delivery detail on it this evening. The build quality appears to be on the up and up. Certainly better than what I have seen coming out of Spartanburg for the past two years.
Looks quite good. I am not hating the white.

I failed to mention that I discovered a defective Michelin Pilot Sport 4S yesterday while cleaning the front right wheel. This is a first… The other three are normal. All four were manufactured in France as well. My new MPS4S on the 997.2 were manufactured in the U.S. Pics attached.

Wow that is some detail, I wish I was still into detailing my cars, i’ve got a guy coming tomorrow who detailed 4 of my cars to give them a hand wash … I just don’t have it in me to wash or detail them.

I don’t have him cleaning or touching the Cayman or Corvette, I have still yet to even wash the Corvette and I think I washed the Cayman once and i’ve had it for almost 4 years … meanwhile they are garaged and for some reason always look clean though I do admit in the 13 months of owning the Corvette I washed the wheels for the second time yesterday.

I do not necessarily enjoy it, but honestly I was raised if you want something done right then you are better off doing it yourself and post Covid that seems to apply now more than ever.

I was looking at the sticker. Pretty reasonably priced options. I am so inured to how Porsche prices the world, this MSRP is refreshing.

I don’t see the “dive planes” where are those?

They are there, poor wording by BMW. They are actually CF air inlets, but for whatever reason that is what they list them in DCS and on the Monroney.

Is the external carbon stuff glued on body panels or replaces it?

Depends… double sided adhesive tape plus glue in some areas, just double sided adhesive in others. Port-Installed or Dealer installed. In this case port-installed.

Edit: Added pics of the rear CF diffuser and faux CF roof antenna.

He has the M Performance CF mirror caps to install as well. He via me will be swapping out the black gloss exhaust tips for the chrome exhaust tips also.
