Seems like a great buy.

I have never been as brave as many of you with the full-on EVs. So I”m headed in this direction because it does make the most sense to me for 95% of the applications, as you lay them out.

If I’m laughing it’s because I have been obsessed with the 4Xe Wrangler and JGC for months now so I would of course love to know how this works out. I am so not a fan of that Stellantis power train with that 2.0 liter turbo. It sounds like a diesel and revs like one too in that application.

I really like the fact BMW is offering the plug-in paired with the 3.0 I6 instead of the 2.0 I4 for their midsized models like most other brands are doing. The idea of the Jeep 4xe is interesting but I wouldn’t pull the trigger on a 2.0 turbo in that application.

My BIL has a wrangler 4xe and he loves it. He uses it primarily for commuting; it’s obviously not much of a highway car. And he’s a Jeep guy so the Wrangler-ness doesn’t bother him.

I’ve never really liked Wranglers but I can see the logic of the 2 liter hybrid there. But I agree with Sarafil, in the more road-oriented JGC I’d rather have a six with the hybrid powertrain.

While I loved the Audi RS6 Avant guess, this is probably a lot more practical. Congrats!

How do you like the massive single screen? That is the one detail of the upcoming M3 that I'm most concerned about (aside from the grill, obvs).

The screen is fantastic. I kinda hate the graphics of the speedo and tach tho. Far prefer the iD7 in that respect

Yeah the speedo and tach graphics are stupid. I kinda hope we get a retro theme at some point, like the new Mustangs do. Would be nice to have some fake VDO gauges.

Otherwise I can’t really complain about the screen. The interface is intuitive and not that hard to figure out or use. The screen has plenty of display area so everything is easy to see. I’ve gotten used to screens in the Tesla, so controlling everything by touch doesn’t bug me, but this is a solid implementation. And it’s nice that the I drive controller is still there, too.

How’s the acceleration in EV mode? As I understand it, they improved the performance with the 50e version

Has it nagged you to setup Alexa? For some reason that kept happening in the iX I rented.

The number of X5 owners is quickly catching up to the number of 718 GTS owners! 😁
