VW Golf R production to extend into 2013 MY

I mentioned a rumor to this effect in the other thread, but it looks like it's confirmed. No changes, apparently, to the car, and it sounds like there may still only be 5000 or so Mk VI Rs built across the two model years--Mark VI production ends relatively soon, or so everyone says.

The speculation is that this way they won't have to discount them when all the other models in the showroom are 2013s.

People on Vortex are freaking out, but I figure as long as they don't flood the market it's still going to be a fairly desirable car used.

Whatever. I'm glad to finally have my 2012, even if it is now immediately one year old.

They are freaking out because their car of the people will be for too many people?

Our x3 is a year old already, or I guess you could say uber rare since 12 production was only like 3 months long.
