Ha - i've seen this tactic on a few BMW dealers websites but never as brazenly as this. Very tempting and great spec at this price, but with a v8 BMW i'd want to be covered by a warranty for the duration of my ownership.

When you talk 'hold a car for 10 years', what kind of mileage are we talking?

My question stems from how much we (my wife and I) drive our cars. I don't think a 10 yr expectation is realistic for us @27k/yr on the x5. Would it be better to have a 7 yr old car w 130k miles or an 10 yr old car w/ 95k?

Was thinking “average” mileage of about 10-12k a year. I’d probably choose lower miles over year all things being equal - though in my case my list of wants as far as tech goes in a daily driver woukd likely eliminate stuff that’s more than several years old currently. When i wrote this post, I was primarily thinking of new cars.
