(or S60R)

EDIT:

I include this one for comic relief, because a) I am pretty sure that's not a manual, dude, and b) who buys a 137,000 mile Town Car as "an investment?"

EDIT:

Infiniti G37?

They seem to be pretty cheap on the used market. That one is a 2009 for 16K.

All of those are too old, except for the Saab, but the Saab is way too much money for a car that is a) FWD, and b) drastically inferior to an E90.

Big and unreliable and expensive and automatic only. If I were going to do that, it's hard to see why I wouldn't just go with an early F10.

The Saab is actually AWD, but the rest of your points are taken.

I might investigate the G37 a bit more, just as a change of pace.

Just thinking a little outside the box, Nick, but how often do you have to entertain said clients? If not very often, why not just rent a large luxury sedan when needed? Who cares if it is a manual or not.

I have ridden in the back of a few luxury, manual sedans in Europe, and it has never been a pleasurable experience. Sometimes automatics just make for a smoother ride.

Wouldn't a grand or two a year in rental charges be more affordable than another car?

What about a Subaru Legacy GT? Manuals are kind of unicorns, but they do exist. Newish ones may bust the $20k cap, but they have the upside of having kind of crap reputations for being easy to work on.

I also think Doug is onto something about being more tolerant of slushies if back seat passengers are at all a concern.

I mean, you should definitely get the Integrale. Why aren't you picking it up right now?
