Ranger Raptor

Why do I find myself wanting one of these? There is literally nothing I do on a regular basis - or ever - that benefits from owning this vehicle.

And yet my brain is drawn to it somehow. :coocoo:

You must have Autoblog blocked, because I just posted the same comment to a story of theirs about the truck.

Sweet brodozer.

But all kidding aside it looks fun. Assume the us version is going to have more motor? Maybe the 350 hp 2.3 from the focus RS?

It's competing with the anemic GM trucks. Ford might as well castrate their version as well.

I guess power numbers haven't been released, but the base Ranger gets the 2.3L four as the sole engine option. That's good for 280 hp in the Explorer and 310 in the Mustang, so 280 would be a good bet.

Turning the wick up to 325 or 350 would be easy enough to do using existing parts; I'd be kind of surprised if that's not what they do.

Sweet F150.

Wait, that's a Ranger?

What year is it?

Sigh.

I like it a lot, but I have no reason to want it. I think it will sell pretty well, but I'm curious what the new Bronco will be.

OK I reenabled autoblog and Jalopnik so I'm a little less in the dark here.

I hated on the standard raptors until I got a ride in my buddies up to the mountains. Guessing this ranger one is pretty sweet too.

The std raptor is way too big for an old Northeast city. The “ranger” is probably as well, but I agree looks better. I must have reading comprehension issues because what I read was that this was *not* coming to the US.

I didn’t go in depth but if they provide a non-locked AWD mode, that would make them a winner in my book. I think the big Raptor does, so not just 2wd or locked 4.
