I'd be kind of okay with the ugly (the X is much worse than the 3, IMO) if the build quality were halfway decent. I have yet to see an X where the front door even remotely lines up with the rear.

When a Chevy does that, everyone gets all up in arms about it. But with Tesla, it's not even a concern?

I saw a report (jalopnik maybe?) where a group of people did a teardown on the new model 3 and compared the build quality to a first year Hyundai Excel

Saw a 3 in the dark grey color today and it looked half decent since it seemed to minimize the odd lines.

That only makes sense if the gray was so dark it was impossible to see the vehicle at all.

I work and live very close to a Tesla dealership. It does nothing for me. It looks like a fancy Prius.

I know Tesla is all that right now, but I rather wait 3-5 years to see what the competition comes up with.
