I bid on this a couple of times.....
Just for the novelty of having a 99% perfect example of a car that you just DON'T see any more. Plus - the 2.8 in that thing is an awesome engine - and the rest of the car is awesome too.

I was bidding and prepared to go higher but got interrupted right in the middle of my bidding at the end. When I got back to it - the auction had about 15 seconds left and I trying to put a bid in... But my computer froze for about 30 seconds. Then when it came clear - the auction was closed.

Yeah - an awesome car - but would have been a real quandary for me. It is a 'useable' car (meaning you can actually 'do things' with it - like take people!!!) but too nice to actually use. To drive it as a Sunday car - well, I already have the E9 and Mustang. It really isn't a sports car - albeit fun to drive. I have the 997 for that.

Maybe getting interrupted and my computer freezing up was a sign that it was best to not add to the stable. LOL...

Oops, but, yeah, I'd take it as a sign.

It has over 100k miles and the pictures made it look kinda dingy. I bet a good detail would have brought the price up a few grand.

I'm glad I didn't see it, or I probably would have bid. Though I'm looking at RX-8s again now.

What's old is what's new again, I guess.

This build is pretty cool.

I wonder what the weight distribution is.
