I don't recall hearing of or seeing an adaptive mode. It may not be available on the M5. But I've not yet touched the manual. It's possible there are things that can be tweaked.

In my car, it's on the center console between Comfort and EcoPro.

Apparently, BMW eliminated it after my year. It was first introduced on the 7 series, which makes me think it should be on your car? And Alan has it on his M550...

I saw that when I googled it, but it seems that those are the generic BMW options but not applicable to M cars. In fact, you can't even change the defaults settings:

That's too bad. Some folks swear by Comfort+, too. (Which my car does not have, I think.)

M1
Engine: Sport
Suspension: Comfort
Steering: Sport
M xDrive: 4WD

M2
Engine: Sport Plus
Suspension: Sport
Steering: Sport
M xDrive: 4WD Sport
