agree.

i think true 3 pedal manuals will hold their value in the 911 range. for me, it's two factors --the first is rarity and the second is the prohibitive cost of PDK transmissions which cannot be repaired, but need to be replaced.

and most owners will not change the fluids every 50,000 miles.

the NA engines also should hold a premium.

i fully recognize that PDK cars are faster. and the 3.0TT motors are much better for AUC power.

Oh yes, agreed, it’s a paradox of the market generally but the 911 market specifically that the cars that sell quickly when new (silver/black, PDK) are worth substantially less used than the cars with three pedals painted more adventurous colors.

Great price on that. I agree the colors wouldn't be my first choice, but solid car.

It's the simple reality that the buyers of old cars are buying them because they are interesting. If you're buying for interesting, you'll want interesting features like cool colors.

I saw your posts in the 981 thread, but am not sure what performance qualities you're prioritizing. I've lost track, what cars do you currently have and plan on keeping?

Edit: If you are considering a 997 Turbo, I like this one better. I was going to say its driving distance, but you're in san diego now, right?:

I had that interior color on my Boxster -- loved it. Natural Leather is a full leather only option, so things like the dash and seat backs have leather, not vinyl or other plastic. Its also relatively rare -- a bit surprising, since its such a great color...

i have it in mine also (well espresso natural, but very close to the same thing as cocoa). It is really nice, much softer than the regular leather, and it is amazing how much of the interior is covered in leather when you get the full / natural package. I think its rare because its special order only and its pretty expensive.

FWIW, both of the turbos I posted have natural leather.

Thank you for the offer.

I’m looking for something that holds crazy resale value in case of a recession. But one of the sharper edged cars that Porsche makes.

The GT4 is really spectacular in person.

But if you can get a mint GT3, wouldn’t that be more “something” that the GT4 is trying to distill into a car?

The 997TT I think is a no brained for resale in 6 speed guise. The one in Portland has funny little tweaks on it I don’t like. Cobb tuning. Some rorty exhaust. It’s off putting.
