meh, 4 hours isn't such a big chunk of your life. Go there with a number you won't exceed and if they aren't willing to meet it then walk.

Yeah, agreed. Honestly, after six months of the pandemic, 4 hours driving to look at cars and possibly buy one sounds amazing. Want me to go for you?

I get all that and am generally inclined to agree. Every detail and interaction stands like another big warning flag that the process will be miserable and likely to end in failure

The chances for success just seem so, so, so small.

But, maybe I'm wrong.

The more I think about it, the better I feel about writing them off.

I think it's a 45 minute one way trip for you with no traffic.

Until I buy something, who knows?

BTW, parked next to a vanilla black Camaro at Lowe's yesterday (or rather, it parked next to me). Still pretty groovy looking.

Wait? You won't need an autox car until at least March 2021?

Neighbor’s is a 1990 with 40k miles. She’s got it running again, but the airco doesn’t work and it has a bad window regulator.

A non-street class autox co-drive opportunity for 2021 presented itself that I couldn’t turn down.

I may not have bought a car for myself yet, but I’m picking this up tomorrow. Was thinking about buying a new one in the spring so it was available if I wanted to take the Camaro, C7 or whatever other thing I still don’t have to an event or three, but a friend posted his on FB tonight at a price too good to pass up.

Mine almost got pushed today. I aired up the tires and everything...and then the tree guy said he had enough room and it didn’t need to move.
