That takes longer than 2 presses (and lifting your foot for the 2nd press)...

But it's an easy motion you can train yourself to do and you won't be bothered by the "feature" anymore. Just thought another option might be useful.

I started doing this last night after I read your post. It is easier and makes the "feature" less bothersome. Thanks.

The NSX uses the key to not only start the car but to unlock it as well ... You don't realize how much better the new systems are until you have no choice but to use the key all the time.

Remember when GM still used separate keys for the door and the ignition? I remember my grandma's '83 Supra had one key, but my stepdad's '98 or '99 Escalade still had separate keys

Not just separate keys, but keys that only went in one way?

Don't know why, but for some reason I still feel weird about having only one two-sided key to operate all features of my car. For that matter, I kinda miss seeing "Body by Fisher" and the old-school horseless carriage logo, and the boxy GM logo on my keys.

I like the press quickly for 3 flashes turn signal. The Fiat has it, and I miss it in other cars.

The back to neutral on the turn signal is OK, but see no real reason for it, except that I assume the turn off the turn signal is not electronic, not mechanical.

The start/stop button is just hokey to me. And the key only has to be close is nice for doors, but for the ignition, it can create problems. I have heard of at least one instance of someone coming home, getting out the car with it running, for the other person to run to the store. Who then could not start the car because the key was miles away. And it seems a step backwards, we already had a starter button.

I also wonder, how long will it crank? If you hold the button will it continue to crank? I am thinking of instances of fuel pressure not being maintained on the rail and it taking a while to start.
