So… My accident was 6 weeks ago today. Work has still not started on my 3 -- they are waiting for at least one key part (the rear quarter panel).

I've now used up the 30 days rental coverage my insurance provides. Waiting to hear back from the at-fault's insurance about what they are going to do to provide me transportation.

That's awful. Could you pick up some kind of short term deal on Swapalease? So you can drive something decent in the meantime...

I’m considering buying something used and selling it once I get my car back. The problem is taxes... but if I can get compensation from the insurance company, it may make sense.

Theoretically, they should give me a comparable rental or pay me for loss of use. There is a local Model 3 on Truro that rents for $210 a day, but even $40-$50 per day will go a long way to covering the taxes and depreciation on a short term buy...

JST, did you get track mode yet? I received notification that I had a software update available, so I installed it. But the intro screen told me all about features that I already have, and I'm still on 42.2.1

I got my winter wheel and tire package from tire rack. It's a little blingy but I think I like it. They were like half the price of the 18" TST wheels and roughly the same weight. I dropped 4.3 pounds per corner vs the OEM 20'S 4S's

Thanks!

They require a centering ring, which I wasn't too excited about. But they used it to get sound the idiotic PUP brake rotor issue where a 3mm ring sticks out. The centering ring sits a little deeper onto the wheel leaving space for that lip.

I love the color. Isn’t that close to the color of your E46? Steel Blue?

PS: you need to edit your ride list of cars...
