Someone remind me why I don't want an E36 M3/4
http://enthusiastauto.com/qsearch/?i...orm_display=51
Please list all of the reasons why this is a dumb car to buy so that I can stop thinking about it. Thank you. |

How many family cars do you need?
edit: clicked the link. Obviously it's high, but the price seems reasonable enough, too bad it's yellow. If you can get over that, then yeah, might as well just buy it. edit edit: wtf is with the e46 m3 prices. Seriously, are they going up? If anyone wants mine for $40k, I'll go ahead and do the manual trans swap right now! |

Any M car E46 and older seems to be on a crazy upward pricing path. Headed the way of all old P cars. AMG on the other hand is not.

That Dakar M3 is actually pretty cheap for EAG. It has been on there for awhile so kind of surprised it is still available. Make me think it doesn’t present in person as well as the pics or maybe people just don’t buy fun cars in the Midwestern winter.
Also EAG also do a bunch of preventative maintenance on them so it should be good to go. I like Dakar, unique color for BMW. Go check it out. |

I wanted a E36 M3 over a E46 M3 because I never owned a E36 bmw.
But I am keep my eyes open for a nicely configured E46, comp package , decent color, stick, cloth and no sunroof(unicorn ). Hey just like the one I had on deposit but got cold feet and backed out of |

Fun car but the suspension setup sucked ass. And removing all the buttons from the steering wheel was just dumb. If they would have made the rims and the steering rack an option on the regular car I would have just done that if I had a do over.

Only things I can come up with is it is yellow (sorry I know there is a lot of Dakar love here, but it is NOT for me) and it is at EAG so it is $5k too expensive.
Other than that, I think clean e36 M3s manuals with under 100k are super buys right now. The prices are going nowhere but up.

Would prefer Estoril or Technoviolet, but after that, Dakar is my favorite color.
EDIT: Also will be in Cincinnati in 2 weeks, but the car will probably be gone by then. |
