Can I pull this off?
Not waffling about a car, but rather what to do for my wheel/tire combo this summer... I've never particularly liked black wheels, but I bought this set with Hoosiers last year to use for autox/track events. I think I'm going to use someone else's car for autox/track, so now I need a set of wheels/tires to use on the street everyday for summer. I can just use this set and buy new summer street tires, or I can scrouge up a used set of 16" OEM BMW wheels likely from some E46 owner who's probably upgrading to 19s.
Any suggestions? (and no I can't afford to sell the car and buy something brand new as you can tell by the apartments in the background where I'm living). |

I've got a set of 17" borbets that you can have for free. They *are* ugly, though.

I'd look around to see what used wheel/tire sets are available, but barring some ass kicking deal I'd think that the best bet is to buy some inexpensive tires and mount them on those black wheels.

If you don't like the wheels in black, you could always paint them.
