Trip Notes...
So, my son and I decided to take advantage of the spring break (my wife was too busy with work) and headed on out to Brussels, a city I used to live in some 25 years ago and wanted to show some of my personal history to my son. To our luck, the weather was dismal, much more so than I remember with the first snow of the year all week We still made good time, visited the old neighborhoods, some mesuems, shopping, lots of choclate, etc.
The city really changes quite a bit, much more crowded, lot more imigrants (mostly from northern Africa), and a lot more crime. And, oh, now drugs are free, like in Netherlands The traffic is not too bad but everything is so small compared to what we are used to, it is a little unsettling. The cars are comparatively small as well of course and as expected diesels are hot items. Here are few shots:

Very cool, FT.
My wife and I were in Brussels last spring as part of a broader, whirlwind European trip. We also got out to Brugges and Ghent, two neat places. One of our primary reasons for going to Brussels was so that I could legitimately say I had "mussels ind Brussels." Yeah, I'm kind of dorky. Sort of like this photo of me with my foot in the Seine . . . just so I could say I was "In Seine" in Paris. Did I mention I embarass my wife sometimes? .
