I looked at those interior shots and threw up in my mouth a little

Interesting that a 16k car had three owners. I mean it's not an exotic.

This car will probably get past 50 unless there are reasons EAG does not already own it.

Edit: Already opening bids at $21k.
Yeah - Just saw this M5 (and now at $27.5k- ouch!). But, as I prefer to actually 'drive' my cars, I'm not inclined to pay the premium that this one will bring - only to drop its value every time I take it on a 750 mile weekend drive.

this one is nicer. Maybe for LIP i/o the m5
Nice, for what it is (a 3-series).
But I'm looking for its bigger brother (5 or 7).

I am patient... the E38 I have is doing ok - for now. I will need to do something by the end of summer though (I figure).

Thanks for the help guys - keep them coming. You never know.

I suggest you check the M5board.com classifieds daily. I've been keeping an eye over there for something interesting for you, but nothing is for sale in the sweetspot (2002/2003 ~80k-110k miles good color combo) at the moment. That board is the most active e39 m5 board and the participants are very knowledgable.

If I see anything good, I'll push it your way. I think the one you were bidding on sold for a good $5k more than it was worth. Probably a good thing that you didn't chase it. (Unless these things have hit that old 911 inflection point in the appreciation curve and are about to go off the rails).

True dat. Also IIRC, 996 gt3's have no PSM, ABS & fuel injection are the only electronics (that matter).
