try grasping the bolt with a vise grip and pulling while you turn.

Wasn't there a thread around here somewhere about doing your own work and what things are just not worth it....

Ah, that's right. It's been a few years now since I've done an oil change on an Armada, and forgot that those are hard to reach. Even worse.

This might be a long shot, but if you can securely attach a length of metal rod to the end of the screw, you might be able to remove them by pulling and turning. Not sure what you could use to attach it, other than some industrial strength adhesive. Or perhaps melting the end of the rod with a torch and quickly "sticking" it onto the screw head. Maybe extreme measures, but it's another option.

Pretty much. I'm not exactly sure what they thread into; if it's the bumper itself or there's something inside the bumper. The latter would be pretty stupid, but it wouldn't be the first time that a manufacturer had done something dumb like that.
Like the infamous E36 nutserts?

The best info I could find browsing Fresh Alloy and the Nico forums this morning was some guys prefer to remove the back two (of four) bolts then bend the plate forward for oil changes.

This on the Infiniti cars, too.

No mention of spinning bolts though.....
