Tire Recommendations for my Mercedes.....

Well... the tires on our 420SEL finally need to be replaced. I've milked them long enough to have some belt showing on the shoulder.... aranoid: I'll be doing something later this week I think.
I have Michelin MXV4's on now but don't really want to spend that kind of money if I don't have to.... I think we're not going to have that car for too much longer so...

I'm looking for any feedback on decent performance all season tires (not the TOP of the line stuff, but good decent regular 'sporty' tires hopefully). I've had MXV4's installed for so long (three sets on two different Mercedes') that I have not keeping up on what other tires may be out there that are still good but not as much $$$. Dunlop (4000 or 5000) or Conti's or ???

I can use 205 or 215/65R15 (although the 205's are way more available in different flavors)

Any feedback on various tires would be appreciated.

Just looking for some first-hand feedback if anyone has any to offer (and knowing this group ..... )

Get the contis. You will HATE them and want them to wear out, but they never will.

I use Dunlops on my 190E. The recommended Michelins are $120 and I can buy nice Dunlops for $51.

Looks like I can get Potenza RE950's for ~$90 each at Costco...... installed.
I've got a set on order and hope to get them early next week.

Thanks
