After installing the lift, I can't fathom doing real car work ( engine swaps, trans removals, etc) without one. I'm really surprised you don't have one.

exhaust vs exhaust.

edit: this was a good opportunity to paint the rest of the E36 exhaust. for some reason, I didn't do that when I replaced the cats.

Lifts are bulky. I’d lose at least one space on the garage.

The slab was prepped for a couple one post lifts (storage, really), but I don’t think we’ll ultimately install them. The garage would feel claustrophobic.

Probably too low-brow but what about a MaxJax or Quick Jack? Anything is better than jack stands...
