The NYT article is paywalled for me.

Hyundai/Kia seem to be well ahead of Ford in EVs. Informal polling of my peer group suggests few of them are willing to buy a Tesla and thereby implicitly or explicitly support Elon.

Apparently the Hyundai Kona battery replacement rate is something like 20%. I wonder if that's higher or lower than the GDI engines?
