E46 eBrake Adjustment

My eBrake is not doing diddly right now, so I need to adjust it at the wheels.

I looked it up online and it seems you adjust it be removing one of the wheel bolts. That is great, except I installed studs.

Is there another way to get to the adjuster, or do I have to pull one of the studs?

Thanks.

There are two adjustments. If you can't get it tight at the ebrake handle, you have to go through the hub hole, which 100% means pulling a stud.

Have you used up all of the adjustment slack at the ebrake handle? There are 2 nuts that pull the individual rear cables tighter. If you pop up the shift boot you should see them. The come through the J-shaped formed tubes at the bottom of the mechanism, as you can see in this picture:

I have cranked the handle end adjustment a good bit.

OK, it looks like pulling a stud. Not a huge deal.

Well, back it off to around halfway so you have some adjustment left for next time.
